http://www.cigars.about.com/The first puff arrives with a burst of flavour surprising for a small cigar. The flavour is full and earthy, and leads you to expect a harshness that never arrives. The smoke remains smooth and cool, almost gentle, even at the end, which arrives far too soon. You end up wishing the cigar would last longer than the five inches allow. |

http://www.alexanderscigars.com.au/La Flor de CanoThis brand is characterised by soft blends containing delightful, floral, sweet tones. Their very small production is the guarantee of their quality, which also makes them difficult to find. With its sweet, mild flavour, it is a cigar designed to please both the established and the new smoker. PreferidosA rather mild cigar whose taste appears consistently throughout. Subtle, though subdued aromas are sure to please the beginner |

http://www.smokemag.com/0397/review.htmAs with its compatriot, the Flor de Cano tends to vary in appearance from sample to sample, but that's why they stick 'em in tubes, right? Nonetheless, smokers will find these cigar to be medium-bodied and finely balanced with just the right amount of punch that you'd expect from a Habana. These are great sticks to chomp on when you're doing manly things like chopping wood, playing poker with "da boyz" or settled in your favorite chair for a 24-hour Sergio Leone movie marathon. A less costly way to enjoy the flavors of old Havana |

http://www.cigardoc.com/gl.htmlLa Flor De Cano Predilectos Tubulares (Cuban)—This cigar was another generous gift from my friend and patient Rocky George. Man, I wish I could get Rocky interested in the Churchills....he seems to like the smaller cigars...this one was almost a cigarillo. As it's name suggests the cigar was tubed in a metal tube with cedar lining. It was fresh and quiet tasty. Had that "no doubt it's a Cuban taste" that really cannot be described unless you smoke a Cuban. It was small...I would say 4 X 36 or something like that. It had a rough broadleaf wrapper. I would say that the cigar was full bodied and flavorful. Rocky....keep bringing 'em in ! Update: I talked to Rocky 10/10/97 and he assured me that he would find a box of large ring...long size De Cano's.....I CAN'T WAIT!! I smoked the last one I had until my lips caught fire.........These are really good smokes!! |

http://www.cigaraficionado.com/: 90A medium- to full-bodied cigar. It has a toasty and leathery character, with some hints of coffee beans on the palate. It has a light, sweet finish. |

http://www.cigarsforless.com/The image of Francisco Fonseca, who
developed this brand in 1906, still adorns the box today. Fonseca brand is
considered to exhibit a rich but mild flavour. Rustic looking construction, with an oily
red-brown wrapper. The burn is even and cool. This cigar is very mellow, but
not boring. |
|
http://www.alexanderscigars.com.au/FonsecaEstablished in 1891 and named after the brand’s creator, F.E. Fonseca, this small range come uniquely encased in white tissue and their main characteristic is their lightness, with a slight creamy taste. http://www.cigardoc.com/Juan Lopez Petit Corona (Cuba). This cigar came by trade from fellow cybersmoker R. Kundla. The cigar had a light to medium brown Colorado wrapper with a nice external appearance. The aroma was nice and the draw was easy. The burn was even with large volumes of mild to medium bodied smoke. The flavor and finish was bitter (not necessarily a bad trait as some Cuban smokers, including my good friend Johnny Yiu, appreciate this character). The cigar was 5 x 42 in size. These cigars are a very old Havana brand with limited distribution and only 5 sizes to choose from (all petit cigars). I would never turn one down, but the flavor is a bit bitter for my tastes. Summer 1998. |

http://www.zigarrenseite.de/Sonntagmorgen. |

http://www.zigarrenseite.de/Punch Royal Selection No.12.
|
http://www.graaff.nl/Without this little marvel, the universe of the petit corona would have been very different... Benefiting from perfect construction, the Royal Selection # 12 yields a great richness of woody aromas throughout an even burning. Both direct and smooth, it offers a creamy floral bouquet powered with a fine peppery dust. It has continually improved over the last five years. |

http://www.cigaraficionado.com/: 91RatingAlthough a little young, this cigar exhibits great spice, including cinnamon, and a strong earthy finish that lasts. Very well-made. UserWell worth the price and the time to smoke. Great to have a FEW in th box. "Outstanding Peppery Taste." Enjoy with some Hennesy XO like I did. resting for Y2K This cigar is absolutely delicious. There are nice woody flavors left on the palate. There are nice hints of spice. One of my favorite coronas of all time. To be used in special ocations. Great smoke, strong, great finish. Had a few, bad draw, young, spice but at what price?, wrapper problems & draw distract from the pleasure. should improve with age but cannot be bothered. 21211. This cigars draw was a little firm. It was even a little harsh, and never got a good spicy taste going. But the end was very strong and left me very relaxed. 12/01/98 "86". Gifted from Drew. Nice cigar. Has good spice. Wrapped perfectly. I rate it a 91. Small but wonderful cigar. Does have spicy flavor and ends with some pepper, but a very enjoyable smoke. Cancun 1/99 Very dependable burn. Smooth flavours throughout the smoke. A definate favourite, though obviously hard to come by. Perhaps not worth a 91, but is definitely a great smoke. Not too bad, still like the AVO better!!! And this is definatley no Larz!!! Bought a box last month 08/98 and smoked about half of them.In my opinion they are overrated.Did not like the taste much, although they smoke well.I'm sure they are the real thing as my dealer is reput My first Cuban up in smoke and now I must choose sides: to be a poseur and emphatically applaud its high rating, or be honest and share the nightmare of keeping this baby lit. Had the Choix Supreme. Smooth and Creamy. Excellent taste, not overbearing. Wish I could afford as an everyday smoke.(93) Excellent. Love um - want more. Bought 10 in Spain for @ 4.50 USD. Strong finish with lots of spice. this one is waiting in my humidor Buen tan¿maño, Smooth, Delicioso. 90+, $5.00, el cubano. El Dominicano le falta firmesa 83. Started out vegetal but soon became very spicy and cinnamony. This little cigar packs a big punch. Even burn, nice ash, strong aroma Smooth smoke ,a powerful aroma. A bit harsh on the finish. http://www.cigaraficionado.com/: 90RatingA well-made cigar with a solid medium bodied smoke. There is a solid core of good roasted nut flavors, and a pleasant flinty edge. A good sweet wood or cedary finish. UserMILD!!Not complex or challenging. Consistently the smoothest and easiest draw on any cigar that I've tried. Always a pleasure, but I prefer a bigger, tastier smoke. In case I haven't tasted more exellent cigar, this is kind of cigar I could imagine smoking forever. Smooth, full taste in the beginning with a hint of wood. Growing all the way until the finish. 9 Good construction, easy draw, but kind of weak for a Habano. Not memorable, but did develop a whisper of nutty flavor towards end A pleasing smoke by all means; if you like a mild to medium body flavor. Great after dinner. Wrapper couldn't have been better. Very spicy/ earthy. Rate 89. excellent smoke, great finish. Received one from a non-smoker friend. Said he was given it a year ago and kept it in his fridge:-( Slowly introduced it into my 'dor. Will have to wait until summer '00 to find out if slow enough thou Very tasty with a lot of spice and strengh. 95 Have one aging in the humidor. If its good I'll get more. Aug 22. Finally got to smoke it. Very good. Gonna get more if I can. A smaller size cigar, but full of that flavor that Cuba is famous for. A very good smoke for those times when you want the best. Excellent. Nothing bad to say about this Cigar. This was an awful smoke. I cut the cigar in half and found green leaves inside! After examining the cigar band, I realized I was had--a fake (f_ckin' @$$h01es). The best cigar I've had to date. The aroma was great. The draw was perfect. And the flavor solid with a spicy finish. A bit too pricey for me, but will try one again given half the chance. Another wonderful cigar, woody, and sweet at the same time. YUM. Woody smoke A solid 90. The one we tried was superb. Must smoke another, preferably with cognac and mush! Was a Royal Coronation. I found it one of the better cubians in Kuwait. The Monty#4 is better but almost twice the price here. Medium bodied cigar.Found it a little woody when I was half way. Did not match Montecristo 4 though. My facorite Cuban. Well made, solid body smoke. a very nice smoke, enjoyed it with cuban red rum A pleasantly mild cigar. Good, but not quite a monty #4. |

http://www.cigaraficionado.com/: 92ReviewA medium- to full-bodied cigar that is packed with exotic flavors. There are hints of chocolate and coffee, with a solid core of sweet spiciness. A spicy finish. UserPresent from Estelle at Christmas 2000 in Bali. Damn fine smoke and some very memorable flavours. Thanks old chap! I'm really not terribly fussy but this was not my cup of tea. It lacked body and smoke. Tasted bitter and I couldn't smoke more than half of it. Never buy again. Very tight draw This is the strongest cigar I have ever had. Just powerful as hell. Huge thick lasting flavor on palate. I can't smoke these every day. I love em though, that's for damn sure This made the trip to Cuba outstanding. Got them right at the factory. Wonderful even smoke. Pleasnat aroma and mild after taste the next morning. Heaven! Not worthy of a 92 rating. I found it to be more medium than medium to full bodied. Smooth and well-rounded with a nice finish. Characteristic Bolivar earthiness and a chocolate note. The best Crna I've had. $18cdn. Beats Cohiba hands down. nov/00 Tried from JD; very good, but not the best Cuban I've had. Long, tasty finish, with the standard richness associated with a Cuban. Not as well rolled as I would have thought -- it 'fizzed' and 'poppe For me this is one of the best cigars in the world. That rich and sweet spiciness it's great. Smoked this after night school one night. Great cigar. Personal rating: 89 Nice earthy - spicy flavor. Great finish. Very well made, this thing practically smokes itself. An excellent cigar, smoked it during the millenium celebration. Rich taste yet smooth to the last inch. Starts out with a leathery taste then nutty in the middle. Enjoyable, even without Cordon Bleu. Excellent construction, consistent with good draw. Affordable $12 Australian. Very nice leather taste. Not too rich. A wonderful cigar. Better, I think, than the Monte Cristo #4. This is by far the best smoke that I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. If I ever get the opportunity to sample this cigar again I will not pass it up. Loved it. Nice draw, excellent taste. Well worth the price. 3 more of them in the humidor. Good all the way through. Perfect with a nice Cognac. What an awesome smoke, heck the risk of going to "embargo jail" make this a good smoke. Just as CA says. Very good cigar. Burned smoothly, medium spicy. Great to the finish. I highly recommend this. I bought and smoked this in Canada. Mark and I fired a pair of these up in tribute to a recently deceased friend. A top shelf smoke, the Bolivar had it all: richly flavored, strong, well made and... we'll miss you Ric! 90 works |

http://www.cigaraficionado.com/: 94RatingA beautiful cigar, reminiscent of some of Cuba's best. It has powerful flavors of spice, including a strong hint of cinnamon with a smooth leathery note to round it out. A complex earthy/woody finish. UserProbably the best cigar I've smoked so far, but it's not my style--too herbally. Sigh! :| My personal favorite. Great after-dinner smoke. It takes a long time to smoke one, and it's well worth it. Cedar character and creamy chocolate notes are accompanied with the presence of leather. Very harmonious, with a good draw. 2/01 Unquestionably the best smoke I have ever tasted. Mild taste and aroma mixed with an even burn allows my 1 1/2 to two hours of relaxing enjoyment spent 25.00 for one.please don't tell my wife.maybe i'm just used to the nicaraguan cigars i've been smoking, but this seemed a little overrated..it was nice for an afternoon football game Wonderful medium-bodied smoke with great flavor and aroma. Well made, even burn, but the draw was tighter than I like. Not worth the $28 at the Cigar Box in Nassau, 11/14/00. Smoked 12/21/00 Overrated. The cigar is too big. Lasts forever and begins to fall apart. You need the label to hold it together but start worrying about burning the overbearing large label. Not enjoyable. Did not enjoy this Cigar much. Overrated by a long shot. have some, never smoked one so far - it looks so great, just keep and watch it (soon u.s.-boys will buy all of them !!) Smoked one sep 2 2000 and enjoyed it with a big glas of Havana club 7 year .This is a god cigar very mild at the begining and the 2 half gives you a nice spicyness A long smoke that continues to please until the band. What big cigars should be. Have one aging from 1994 Blew me away, slowly. So good I didn't feel it until it had me. Sublime.98?. I thought Romeo Churchill was awesome, this probably better. Close your eyes in a big leather lounge chair. THE BEST CIGAR I HAVE EVER HAD. THE DRAW IS LIKE BREATHING AND THE COCOA AND COFFEE ESSENCE IDS TO DIE FOR. NOT MUCH BETTER THAN THIS ONE. A DEFINITE PROFFESSIONAL CIGAR. Super smooth & creamy.Full rich flavor of honey & vanilla.Superbly rolled oily wrapper.Great aroma.Kicks up in the 2nd 1/2 with a sweet spicyness.Well rounded woody finish. The best cigar I have ever smoked! It lives up to it's reputation. Ten Stars Smoked in Germany in June 2000. So smooth and rich. Great cigar. The best cigar I have ever had. Very smooth draw, rich flavor, and excellent aroma. perfection Rich and spicy Prominente with a colorado maduro wrapper that since 1999 is no longer considered mild. Age well. |

http://www.cigaraficionado.com/: 95RatingA great addition to a great line of cigars. It is gorgeous to look at with its rich brown, smooth wrapper and gives loads of pleasure with every puff. An opulent smoke with great finesse and class. UserGorgeous looking, nice oily wrapping, for me the best you can find, the best aroma... great with a Frangelico shot... heaven. Verry nice cigar ,robust and very tastfull. My favorite Cuban. Creamy. Like Godiva chocolate. Best if stored for a few months (I find). I have an extra box ($370.00) e-mail me if want: Chuck8008@mindspring.com Simply spectacular, very smooth, classic Cuban design! The draw is great, passive yet strong taste! Premium cigar which is worthy of the rating received!!! Beware of fakes however, they will burn uneve Great smoke This is the best cigar I have ever smoked. The burn was perfect and the draw was firm. I had this during an early morning round of golf, I thought honey was dripping off my lips. My 100!!! Otherworldly flavor that stayed on my palette an hour later. Opulent, smooth and consistent beginning to end. Any aficionado would enjoy. The best Cohiba I have had. The cigar is great to smoke. Never had a problem with uneven burn. The taste explodes in your mouth. This cigar is perfect after a good dinner.Very nice wrapper and taste a little bit of fine chocolate and leather What a disappointment. Smoked three in Europe. Two had bad draws. Spicy to the point of burning. The most overrated cigar I've ever had. This is my favorate cigar of all time. Smooth beyond belief. I think a 95 underrates it some. purchased a box directly from cuba in july 2000, first impression (look) is disapointing, all kinds of colours, two even broken - is this the best cigar in the world ?! Outstanding smoke. Slightly hard draw. Truly a great smoke, yet, next to its countrymen its overrated. Best for after dinner w/ 7 year old rum. Buy it only thrru proper channels on La Isla Grande. Uneven burn, great past 1/4. Awsome stick. Nice smooth and fairly complex flavor profile if aged at least 5 years. 95 for taste, often an uneven burn. With Wild Turkey 50.5% fine match. Bookers too strong. Cool vanilla characters early, improves in mid 1/3 Smells wonderful. the best cuban i've had June 2000, $A28.00. Siglo II, in every aspect the same as its small brother Siglo I, but a longer lasting pleasure! Middle 3/4 of this cigar provided a mystical intertwining of flavors, graced by strands of cinnamon and a hint of marzipan within its luxurious finish. At once complex, sublime & full of treasures. 97. |

Awesome cigar A medium-strength cigar with dominant nut flavor and a lingering finish (find this to be typical of RyJ). Good to be a daily smoke.. veri nce. cabinet lasted only a couple of months Very earthy. Very good from beginning to the end. If you want a true taste of R&J, this is the one to smoke. Some sharpness towards the end of the smoke. 90 a medium havana. a very good smoke but i'd not buy again. in a havana i'm looking for full body and strength. for medium smokes i go elsewhere for better value. i'll let them age some and try again. Good rich flavour, but a hint of sharpness. Very nice, a little hard on the draw. God bless Windsor Ontario! Again, a TRUE Habana classic! Darker than colorado wrapper, very good construction. Score: 98 Um charuto com o sabor característico dos R&J, com um tamanho e grossura ideal para ser fumado a qualquer hora após uma boa refeição. The AVO XO series blends a rich store of tobacco growing, nurturing, and harvesting know-how acquired over generations with the high art of harmonious and careful processing techniques. This series truly merits its XO label, the mark of the very highest quality. The exquisite AVO cigar formats are made with selected filler tobaccos stored to complete maturity-a blend that includes a generous portion of specially fermented, aged Piloto Cubano tobacco from the Dominican Republic-a binder made from Dominican Olor tobacco from the Villa Gonzalez region, and a choice Connecticut shade wrapper.
AVO cigars are a harmonious composition, partly because they are stored until complete maturity. Only then, and not before, are they distributed for sale-seven formats in perfect harmony.
The AVO XO Intermezzo is a full flavor and full bodied cigar. |
